K9 Frisbee

From 2008 through 2012 I performed and competed in K9  Frisbee throughout the Southeast with  my two dogs. Valkyrie, our Austrailian Shepherd, thinks she is the queen of the universe but is also an awesome performer, when she wants to be, capable of doing multiple back-flips in a row. She holds one title, Central Florida Disc Dog Champion, Intermediate division and now chooses to lay in the sun and hunt for catfood vs chasing a Frisbee.

Nova Blu is our Catahoula/Border Collie mix and was a rescue. I wrote a story of his rescue, which was published and is posted on Puppytoob.com (http://puppytoob.com/dog-news/blue-eyes-rescue-story-nova-blu/ Though his teeth look like those of a saber tooth tiger, he has a very sweet disposition and an intense drive for Frisbee. With the energy of a locomotive, he was successful in qualifying for and competing in the USDDN (United States Disc Dog Nationals)  World Finals twice (2010 and 2012). We no longer compete, due to my knee issues, but  continue to play for fun in our backyard or nearby fields.
